Non-Ablative Enhanced Facial Rejuvenation
Using the Nd:YAG laser in combination with the KTP laser, we are able to reduce fine lines or "wrinkles" in the skin without removing the surface layers of the skin (resurfacing). Laser Acne treatment
This treatment is cutting edge technology. There are still several research studies taking place to further prove its efficacy. Sometimes it involves treating the skin with a medicine for about 30 minutes, and then the laser is used on those areas. The laser targets the bacteria and hypervascular areas of acne and can greatly reduce and normally eliminate the blemishes. This laser is also affective in the permanent reduction of hair. It is only affective on brown and darker pigmented hair. Laser Photo-rejuvenation / Facial vein removal / Leg vein removal
Using the KTP laser, we are able to reduce facial telangectasia (small little veins) as well as Rosacea, brown "sun" spots and pigmentation changes (brown discolorations). Facial Liposuction
Liposuction under the chin and neck area can significantly reduce the "double chin" and help define the jaw line. This is performed in the office setting typical under Intravenous sedation / anesthesia. Post-operatively, you will be required to wear a pressure garment that covers the area and wraps around the head for a minimum of four days. After that, it should be worn a minimum of 12 hours a day for several weeks. This is crucial for optimal results. Also, there is normally swelling that occurs for 2-3 days after surgery, and bruising is expected but variable in the neck region. The skin in the area of liposuction is normally "numb" or tingly feeling for a variable amount of time, this is normal and should slowly fade away after a few weeks or months.
Lip Augmentation
Lip Augmentation is utilized to make the lips more full and rounded. There are several materials available to augment the lips. Dr. Hargan feels that Alloderm provides a smooth, even, and more natural feeling result. Two small incisions are placed just inside the border of the lip near the corners of the mouth. The material is then placed in the upper and / or lower lip and small stiches are placed that dissolve over time. Post-operatively swelling is expected over the first 2-3 days and some bruising is possible but not typical. There are no materials that offer a truly permanent augmentation. With Alloderm material, however, several months to a year or more of lip enhancement is expected but cannot be garaunteed.
